One menu promotes The Manhattan Room Luncheons, 2 Dinner at The Terrace Room and the fourth Room Service Luncheons.
The graphics and the food on offer are very much of their time: Regional and period favourites include Little Neck Clams, Oyster and Clam Stew and Seafood Cocktail but there are also unusual dishes: Lettuce with California Sardines, Steamed Finnan Haddie, Nesselrode Pudding, Consomme Celestine, Boiled Calf’s Sweetbread and Imported Galbani’s Stracchini Taleggio Cheese.
A cabaret and ice show are promoted.
The Hotel New Yorker, now a Wyndam Hotel, remains an iconic building in Manhattan, with the name, in neon, emblazoned on the side.
Excellent items for framing to decorate a bar, restaurant or kitchen. Also for reproduction as cards and even working menus.
Condition: Very Good. The corners are a little soft. The front of No. 2, The Vegetables of New York, is a little marked in three places.
