A Collection of 16 American Trade Cards.

These were given to consumers to promote a product or as a gift when a product was bought.

They date from the late 1800s.

Products advertised include Florence Etching Silk, The Woolson Spice Company, Hoyt’s German Cologne, Mc Laughlin’s Coffee, Dr Thomas’ Eclectric Oil, Brigg’s Pianos, Kendall’s Spavin Cure, Ayer’s Sasparilla, Warner’s Safe Yeast and L.L. Crocker’s Buffalo Honest Fertiizers.

The largest card measures 13.5 x 17 cms or 5 1/4 x 6 3/4 inches and the smallest 3.5 x 11.5 cms or 1 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches. Condition: Very Good. The corners of most are very slightly rubbed. One has a small amount of loss to a corner. The backs and edges are slightly tanned. They are otherwise clean and fresh.
