A set of six engravings of snakes. From The Tableau Encyclopedique by M l’Abbe Bonnaterre dated 1790. Of French origin. Engraved by Bernard Direxit. Black and white images printed on hand made deckle edged paper. They measure 31.5 x 23 cms with the central image measuring 23 cms x 16cms. In excellent condition considering their age. One has a faint water mark at the bottom right edge that does not affect the main image. The corner of another is creased. There are a few spots of foxing and two small dark spots amongst the six. The edges are very faintly browned.
