A leather bound book autograph book with gilt decoration and gilding to the edges of the pages. Written in old German the messages date from 1811 to 1815. The book would seem to have once belonged to Madame DuPour. This name is written on the endpaper.
Containing 5 watercolours and one fine piece of needlework that is exactly the same on both sides of the page such is the level of skill employed.
Size: 12 x 18.5 cms or 4 3/4 x 7 1/4 inches.
Condition: Very Good. The pages within show little sign of age. There is some occasional damage in the way of marks, loss or foxing . But the book remains in the main fresh considering its age. Many of the pages have not been used; at least half of the book is still blank.
