A Large sanguine portrait of an elderly gentleman wearing a crown of leaves, possibly laurel.
Drawn on handmade paper it might have been a study for a painting.

Large: 62 x 47 cms or 24 x 18 1/2 inches.
Condition: Very Good. The paper is creased at the corners , edges and base. There is a marked crease across the center of the paper. There small dark spots around the area of the man’s beard and cloak. Also a small dark mark on his cheek.
A hugely skilled and expressive drawing. Ideal for framing.
