Hand drawn and painted in Lyons, France in the early 1900’s when the city was a center for silk manuafacture.
Medium: Watercolour paint and coloured pencil.
Size of design: 13.8 x 15.7 cms or 5 3/8 x 6 1/8 inches.
Size of surround: 33 x 23 cms or 13 x 9 inches.
Condition: Very Good. The design has been removed from its original backing, repaired using archival tape and remounted on vintage paper using a very small amount of glue so it is possible it could be carefully removed if preferred. There are a few small marks and flaws across the surface that have to do with age and use; but it is in the main fresh and clean.
