Produced in Lyon when the city was a center for silk manuafacture.
Medium: Watercolour, drawing ink and pencil.
Size of design: 8.5 x 9.8 cms or 3 1/2 x 4 inches.
Size of surround: 34.5 x 24.5 cms or 13 5/8 x 9 1/2 inches.
Condition: Very Good. The design has been removed from its original backing, repaired using archival tape and remounted on vintage paper using a very small amount of glue so it is possible it could be carefully removed if preferred. The glassine paper on which it is painted is lightly creased. There is a small amount of loss of white paint on the left hand side of the design.
