An original antique French textile design.

Date: 1930s

Medium: Watercolour paint.

Size of design: 6.3 x 6.5 cms or 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches.

Size of surround: 24.3 x 21 cms or 9 3/4 x 8 1/4 inches.

Condition: Very Good. The design has been removed from its original backing and remounted on vintage paper using a very small amount of glue so it is possible it could be carefully removed if preferred. The edges of the design are uneven; the size given is therefore approximated. There are two brown marks on the design which were probably not a part of the original design. It remains otherwise fresh and clean with no surface wear. The paper upon which the design is mounted is antique so slightly browned.
