Medium: Pencil and watercolour paint on glassine paper.
Date: 1930. This is written in pencil on the reverse of the design.
Produced in Lyon when the city was a center for silk manuafacture.
Size of design: 26.5 x 25.5 cms or 10 3/8 x 10 inches.
Size of surround: 37.5 x 32.5 cms or 14 3/4 x 12 3/4 inches.
Condition: Very Good. The design has been removed from its original backing, repaired using archival tape and paper and remounted on vintage paper using a very small amount of glue so it is possible it could be carefully removed if preferred. The glassine paper on which it is painted is lightly creased. Then painted surface remains fresh.
