An examination piece, a croquis en colour (a coloured sketch) for dessin a vue et geometral (sight drawing and geometry).
The image shows a vase, a lamp and some cloth. The school for boys and young people where it was created was in Rue de Patay, Ville de France.
Dated March 1941. Paris was occupied by German forces at this time.
The artwork seems to be to be drawn in pencil, and painted using watercolour and gouache.
Size: 27 x 21 cms.
Condition: Very Good. The paper is very fine, it has been folded into quarters. It is lightly tanned and a little creased but otherwise clean. There is writing in ink on the reverse side.
