An examination piece, a croquis en colour (a coloured sketch) for an excercise in dessin a vue et decoration (sight drawing and decorative composition).
Dated May 1938.
The painting shows sports equiptment on the left and a decorative border featuring sports related items on the right. The school for boys and young men where the piece was created was situated at 315 Rue Chareton, Ville de Paris.
The artwork seems to have been created using coloured pencils an ink.
Size: 27 x 21 cms.
Condition: Very Good. The paper is very fine, it has been folded in half. It is lightly tanned and a little creased but otherwise clean. Two very short tears have been repaired using archival tape. There is writing in ink on the reverse side.
