An examination piece, a croquis en colour (a coloured sketch) for dessin a vue et memoire (sight drawing and drawing from memory).
Dated December 1941. Paris was occupied by German forces at that time.
The paintings show sports equipment. The school for boys and young men where the piece was created was situated on Boulevard de Belleville, Ville de Paris.
The artwork seems to be to be drawn with pencil and painted using watercolour.
Size: 27 x 21 cms.
Condition: Very Good. The paper is very fine, it has been folded into quarters. It is lightly tanned and a little creased. There are a couple of marks at the top edge. It is otherwise clean.
