An examination piece, a croquis en colour (a coloured sketch) for dessin a vue et decoration (sight drawing and decorative composition).
Dated June 1938.
The paintings shows a racquet, balls and a box for the balls. Also a sketch for a poster. The school for boys and young people at which the piece was created was situated on Rue de Patay, Ville de Paris.
The artwork seems to be to be drawn with pencil and painted using watercolour.
Size: 27 x 21 cms.
Condition: Very Good. The paper is very fine, it has been folded into quarters. It is lightly tanned and a little creased. It is otherwise clean. There is writing in ink on the reverse.
