An original drawing of a dancer in Le Mort de Platero, also known as La Muerte de Platero or La Tragedia Salamantina (Salamanca) in Spanish.

Crayon on paper.
With the artist’s signature at bottom right of the image.
Size of drawing: 24.5 x 32.5 cms or 9 3/4 x 13 inches.
Jean Target (1910-1997) was the official artist and sculptor for The Opera Garnier, Paris from 1932 to 1960. His work is included in the Victoria and Albert Museum collection.
Condition: Very Good. There is a very short closed tear on the right hand edge of the paper and a short tear on the top edge. The main body of the work is clean. The paper is slightly age toned; it is darker at the edges.
