Philippe Bérard worked from his studio in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. His specialised in paintings of the female form using various mediums to do so: ink and wash, watercolour, charcoal and printing techniques. Not much is known about Bérard except that he worked with Christian Mousset to create artwork and projections for L’object de mes Hommages, a burlesque performance art piece held in the Cafe Theatre next to The Pompidou Center. His work was sold primarily in Paris.
Condition: Near Fine. The bottom left hand corner is lightly creased. The engraving is otherwise fresh and clean.
