A hand coloured lithographic print.
The dress on the left is described as being of printed crepe de chine. It has a scarf about the neck and pleats which create movement; more pleats at the front than at the back. The dress on the right is of blue crepe with fully gathered sleeves of white georgette. The white straw boater is decorated with white and beige wings. The dress in the middle is of printed crepe. The bodice is draped, and the hem ruched. The ostrich feather toque is decorated with bird’s feathers and tulle.
Date: 1945 - 1950.
Size of image: 32.5 x 24.8 cms. Size of mount: 46.8 x 36.7 cms.
Condition: Near Fine. The image is clean and fresh. The mount is a little worn but in the main clean. There are four very small holes in the corners of the mount where it has most likely been pinned up for display.
