The outfit in marine blue and vermilion is described as a lovely work of inlays that highlights the seams of the jacket. The skirt is enlarged by a box pleat. Large white stitches border the principle lines of the grey flannel jacket. The skirt is of the same fabric.
Date: 1945 to 1950.
Size of image: 32.5 x 24.8 cms with the mount measuring 46.8 x 36.7 cms.
Condition: Near Fine. There are a few very faint spots of foxing across the surface of the image. Also one small spot, a water mark on the collar of the grey jacket. The mount is marked in two places and would probably need replacing. There are four small holes in the corners where it was most likely pinned up for display.
