A French advertisement for Kinlax chocolate - chocolate with laxative qualities.
Produced by Vox Publicity of Paris.
The writing beneath the image of the boy translates as ‘A box costs three Francs and purges the whole family’.
The 5 panels are joined up such that they would form one long display; but they could easily be separated into their individual parts
Backed with original stiff cardboard.
Undated but judging by hairstyles and clothing 1930’s.
Each section measures 39.5 x 30 cms or 15 1/2 x 12 inches.
Condition: Very Good. There is some general surface wear to all five parts particularly at the base, a brown mark on the face of the boy and faint marks on the reverse; but the whole is generally fresh. Tape has been used to secure the five into one long display. This has been repaired at some point.
An amusing, bold and highly decorative piece.
