An original Georgian découpage of water-coloured leaves and flowers set on an embossed paper ground.
The message, written in ink reads ‘Flowers May Fade, But Love’s Bright Beam, With Time Will Ever Brighter Beam.’
Of English Georgian origin that is dating from around 1840.
Size: 18.5 x 23 cms or 7 3/8 x9 inches.
Condition: The ground has darkened slightly. There is some light foxing across the surface. I suspect a small flower to me missing from the arrangement.
