An original oil painting by Dutch artist V. Brams (1921-2000).
The style and the appearance of the sitter would suggest it was painted in the 1950’s.
The painting is surrounded by a gilt inner frame, hardboard and a second gilt frame. There are no marks on the reverse side.
Size with frame: 43.5 x 43.5 cms or 17 1/8 x 17 1/8 inches.
Condition: Very Good. There is a small amount of surface abrasion behind the ear and above the neck; also in the hair above the nose. The painting is otherwise fresh.
The hardboard surrounding the painting and the gilt framing is in good condition without chips.
