A Watercolour sketch of a woman wearing evening dress.
Dated 1944 and signed by the artist ROB.
I don’t know whether it was a sketch for the theatre costume or just for fun but it’s superbly well executed and very decorative.
Size: 60 x 47 cms or 24 1/8 x 18 3/4 inches.
Condition: There is some superficial damage to the painted surface. There are marks on the paper that have to do with age and one dark spot at the top left corner. There is light horizontal creasing of the thin paper. Also a bit of loss and wear at the edges. I have made some repairs to short closed tears using archival tape.
