The two week cruise is undertaken by Mother, Tubby and a yougster called Roy. They are seen at the beginning of their journey leaving Penn Hill Avenue in Poole. The ship sets sail from London and travels for 4 days before first docking first in Lisbon, then Gibraltar and Barcelona before returning home via Palma and Ceuta. Onboard activities include cinema, swimming, a race meeting, group singing, a gala dance, a fancy dress dance, gymkhana sports, a whist drive, a treasure hunt, visits to the bridge and kitchen, and of course constant dining. All this fun is illustrated with black and white photographs taken by the the holiday makers themselves; plus other momentos - photographs of cabins and ships, the passenger list, itineraries, tram tickets, postcards etc. At the back of the brochure a pocket contains other items collected by the travellers. These include advertisements for other P &O cruises, some newspaper cuttings a hand written list of costs incurred and drawings by Roy.
Condition: Very Good. The album is tidily put together, complete and clean. The cover is a bit creased at the edges and worn at the tip and the base of the spine, with a small water mark on the top left corner; but still very presentable.
