Four pieces of wrapping and advertising for fish and shellfish products.
Dating from around 1940.
This paper would have been used by the fishmonger to wrap fish when sold. Thankfully these examples have not been used.
There are two pieces of paper and two bags. Those marked come from Guthrie Brothers of Hartlepool, J. T. Woodhouse & Son of Morecambe and Pratt & Co of Swanage.
The two bags measures 31 x 15.5 cms. The square papers 25 x 25 cms and the lone fish 21 x 25 cms.
All are slightly creased, marked or damaged as I hope is made clear in the photographs. They are in the main fresh however. Ideal items for framing to display in a kitchen or restaurant.
