William Darton (1781 -1854) was a publisher and engraver. He was based at 58 Holborn Hill, London from 1804 to 1836. He specialised in books fo young people including atlases, geography books and one presumes books on penmanship.
The engraving is quite heavily foxed; in my opinion more beautiful for being so. There is a small amount of loss to the left hand edge.
A rare item. At the time of listing I find no other for sale.
