Hardcover.
Size: 23 x 17 x 4.5 cmsor 9 1/4 x 6 3/4 x 1 3/4 inches.

A fine looking book with blue cloth cover, leather spine and corners, three raised bands to the spine and gilt top edge and lettering. The endpapers are reproduced from an original wallpaper design that featured a Greenaway pattern. The pages within are illustrated with 53 full-page colour illustrations and 90 full-page and inset black and white. A comprehensive book with chapters covering the whole of Greenaway’s life, her relationship with Ruskin, exhibitions and prodigious output.
Condition: Very Good. The cover is a little worn at the corners and spine but remains clean and smart. The front hinge is just beginning to crack at the base but the binding remains strong. The pages within are clean and give the appearance of being unread. Only the endpapers, text block and bottom edge are lightly foxed. An inscription, written in ink, on the first endpaper reads ‘Frances Dorothy Hague. With love from Mother Xmas 1905’.
A heavy book hence the cost of postage if sent outside the U.K.
