Le Dessin Couleur Du Temps by J. Beauvillain is a source book for children learning to draw or paint.
Published in Paris in 1936 it presents 99 pages of drawings and patterns appropriate to 11 month of the year (August and September being conflated into one month) along with instructions and exercises, in French, as to how to draw them.
Much of the subject matter relates to the natural world - leek, onion, carrot, butterfly - but many of the objects presented would be found in an ordinary household at the time - books, milk churns, weights, bobbins.
The book is covered in brown and yellow paper with black and white pastedown and brown cloth spine .
It was published by Librairie Delamain in 1936.

Condition: Very Good. The cover is a little discoloured and the corners slightly rubbed. There are numbers written in crayon on the pastedown. The binding remains tight. The pages are browned at the edges but clean and not thumbed.
A charming book. A useful source of ideas for the artist or decorator.
