Juste-Francois Boucher (1736-1784) was an architect, draughtsman, printmaker and etcher and engraver.
Size of whole sheet : 46 x 30.5 cms or 18.2 x 12.7 inches.
Size of engraved image: 32.5 x 20 cms or 12.6 x 7.9 inches.
Condition: Very Good. The engraving has not been printed squarley on the deckle edged, hand made paper. The edges of the paper are slightly grubby with a few short tears at the edges and light creaseing at the bottom right. The tears have been secured from the reverse using invisible archival tape. There are some small marks across the surface of the piece - dark marks and foxing - that have to do with use or age. Also two small holes at the top of the plate from the original binding.
