Juste-Francois Boucher (1736-1784) was an architect, draughtsman, printmaker and etcher and engraver.
Size of whole sheet : 46 x 30.6 cms or 18.2 x 12.1 inches.
Size of engraved image: 32.5 x 20 cms or 12.6 x 7.9 inches.
Condition: Very Good. The deckle edged hand made paper is not even in shape. The edges are slightly grubby with a few short tears at the edges and a crease that is a flaw of manufacture on the engraved part of the image. The short tears have been secured usingbtransoarent archival tape. There are some small marks across the surface of the piece - dark marks and foxing - that have to do with use or age. Also two small holes at the top of the plate from the original binding.
