A story about a princess who finds the life she is obliged to lead at the palace very dull. So her fairy godmother enables her to go out in the world where pretty soon she becomes quite accomplished as a farm worker. The son of a count encounters her on the farm and immediately comes to love with her: but her knows he won't be allowed to marry her. Messengers from the palace set out to find Lucinda and she is brought home. She insists on continuing to work cleaning and feeding poultry once back there however; because she finds the work rewarding. The son of the Count is now able to marry her.

Condition: Very Good. The boards are a bit grubby and worn. There is a crack in the hinge at the center of the book. The pages remain clean and fresh.
