This original purpose of piece is not known though it might have been used for rinsing drinking glasses. The care taken by the maker in making these bowls, and their fine decoration, makes the author think they contained a water jug and that they were placed on a table in a bedroom.
Condition: Very Good. The white part of the print’s surface has browned at the edges. There are a few spots of faint foxing also on the white part of the surface. It is otherwise fresh and clean.
