Plate LXXVII shows ornaments enamelled on copper in the early Limoges Champleve style; ornament from the background of a painting in The Hotel Cluny Museum, Paris; enamels on a gold ground from The Louvre; silver inlay in ivory, decoration from a casket, from a powder horn, from boxwood objects, Limoges enamels, an ebony cabinet, and a dagger sheath all from The Hotel Cluny. Also decoration from 16th century pottery, armour, a metal plate, metal work and goldsmith’s work in The Louvre
Plate LXXVIII shows ornaments taken from specimens of Hispano-Arabic, French and Italian earthenware, preserved in The South Kensington Museum.
Plate LXXIX shows ornaments selected from the faience, or enamelled earthenware of Bernard Palissy; from specimens of majolica; from faince of the 15th and 16th centuries, from porcelain of the 17th century, from German pottery of the 16th Century and from earthenware in The Hotel Cluny.
Plate LXXX shows ornaments from faience of the 16th and 17th centuries; from faience with metallic luster; from a vase in Venetian glass; from gres fiamond, or earthenware; from a 16th Century carved wood panel and from silk embroidery on velvet.

Condition: Near Fine. The plates, but for occasional marks on the white border are exceptionally fresh and clean. Plate No. 5 has a small yellow mark just beneath the title.
