A collection of seven pieces of wrapping and advertising for food products.
Dating from around 1940.
This paper would either have been used by grocers to wrap food items that had been sold, or the food would have been packed in them by the manufacturer
There are three pieces of paper and four bags. They come from James Thomas of Bournemouth, Mansfield and Sons of Coventry, C. B. Blaine of Swindon, Clark Brothers of Chadwell Heath and The Buttercup Dairy Co. One held flour and another marked a Peek Frean biscuit box.
The bags measures 21 x 15.5 cms, 20 x 14 cms, 22 x 22cms and 25 x 18 cms. The square papers measure 25 x 25 cms. The biscuit label measures 19 x 26 cms.
All are slightly creased, marked or damaged as I hope is made clear in the photographs. They are in the main fresh however. Ideal items for framing to display in a kitchen or restaurant.
