2 hand coloured lithographs featuring blue flowering plants, insects and a jerboa. .
From Le Dictionnaire Pittoresque d’Histoire Naturelle by Felix-Edouard and Quentin-Mereville.
Engraved by Joh. Baptist Pfitzer and Acarie-Baron.
Date: 1834-39.
Size: 28.5 x 18cms or 11 3/8 x 7 inches. There is an additional centimeter of paper on the right and left hand sides of the prints that I have left in place since it might be useful if they are to be framed.
Condition: Near Fine. There are a few marks across the surface of both prints; also a few small holes at the edges where thread has passed through. The edges are slightly browned. The fragile paper is lightly creased. They are otherwise clean and fresh.
