Hardcover. Paper cover with gold lettering and a pastedown image of Caesar, The King's dog, on the front.
Size: 19 x 13 cms or 7 3/4 x 5 inches.
Page number: 54.
A book describing King Edward's beloved dog Caesar's response to the death of his master. With a postcard of The King and Caesar. Also a newspaper cutting attached to the first endpaper that announces the death of Caesar in April of 1914. With one illustration by Maud Earl opposite the title page. There is a booksellers label inside the cover: Goulding & Curry, Tunbridge Wells.
Condition: Poor. The spine is missing. Both front and back covers are scarcely attached. It is also possible that the page preceding the first page of script is missing. This is often a blank page though it may have a dedication on it. The binding of the book's contents remains secure however and the pages are, but for some occasional light spots of foxing, still fresh and clean. The boards are slightly grubby and worn at the corners. A previous owner's name is written in ink on the first endpaper. There is no jacket.
